MythDance

The story behind the story

I have been a storyteller for as long as I can remember. As a child I would sit for hours on my typewriter, writing page after page of stories.

Many years later, in 2014...my fascination with the meeting of embodiment and transcendence led to the creation of the workshop series “The God and the Goddess are Dancing”. Soon after, MythDance was born, exploring these themes within the context of world mythology. MythDance became a ritual journey of embodied storytelling accompanied by live drumming, most often held in the forest around the fire.

Yet life is change...and MythDance has been in evolution since its conception. For a cycle of 7 years or so, we worked with stories from world mythology, deep-rooted stories of our humanity. In the past few years, I am asking that benevolent Something-Greater, to weave stories through me - stories for these times. These are the stories you will find here, in the most recent expression of MythDance:
