Kundalini Yoga is a technology working with breath, posture, movement and sound. Kundalini Yoga helps to balance and strengthen the nervous and glandular systems, allowing us to respond to stress more effectively, to expand our awareness, and to open our Hearts. We activate the Power of our Embodied Potential!
Or…to simply to be present with an interesting experience for an hour and a half :)
The flow begins with a tune-in mantra, “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” - or “I bow to the divine wisdom, I bow to the divine teacher within”.
We then have a “kriya”, or “complete action” - a yoga set of postures and movements. These vary widely, from mellow and relaxing to sweat-pouring-down-your-face challenging. They also are focused on different areas you might want to explore more deeply (such as “Releasing Premenstrual Tension & Balancing Sexual Energy”, or “Kriya for Elevation” - and I do take requests!).
The meditation is anywhere between 3 and 11 minutes, and these also have varied foci and levels of physical challenge.
A deep relaxation integrates the benefits of the exercises and balances the nervous system.
We complete with the song “Long Time Sun” and the mantra “Sat Nam” - or “Truth is the Identity”.
